Relapse Prevention

Based on the work of Monti, Abrams et al

These groups help to master skills which will:

Prevent a return to old addictive behaviours

Identify High Risk Situations and Low Confidence Areas

Develop the core skills to cope with common High Risk Areas

Feel more confident in managing difficult situations

Develop a fulfilling lifestyle

Attendance in Relapse Prevention Groups is once per week for 8 weeks


These groups are tailored to individual needs.  They will all include

Identifying High Risk Situations and Low Confidence Areas

Managing Thoughts

Seemingly Irrelevant Decisions

Coping with urges or cravings

Problem Solving

Planning for Lapses and Emergencies
