Rational Emotive Behavioural Counselling

Rational Emotive Behavioural Counselling (REBC) is the forerunner of todays widely used Cognitive Behavioural Therapies and is a well established counselling approach.

REBC is ideal for people who are experiencing unpleasant emotions such as:






and who find that these feelings lead to acting in ways that are unhelpful to themselves.

Counselling groups for REBC will be in two stages.  

Stage 1

Teaches the principles of REBC

Helps us to understand how our thoughts, feelings and behaviour influence each other

Teaches the ABC process of REBC

Develop insight into disputing and challenging unhelpful thinking

Set targets to achieve long term benefits

Stage 2

An ongoing group after stage 1 is completed

Learn to apply stage 1 skills to your own life for long term benefit

Problem solve those situations that may be difficult

Gain support from other people that are using and practicing REBC

Get useful feedback and ideas
